I just love it. The color and the motif carry such story. I would imagine an English lady exploring our tropical jungle. Much like Jane in Tarzan but no. More like Julia Roberts, although she's American, but the like of her .. maybe Julie Andrews.<br /><br />The print shows three species of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heliconia">Heliconia</a>. I only recognize one, the <b>false bird-of-paradise</b>, at lower right. The center red piece I think is a small plant. The one of the left although it looks like orchid the leaves shows that it is not. I grow a few species of Heliconia. One is the lobster claw.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54487/116/2EF5D0DAAD61365CEB7E00B9F5D449D1.png" style="border: 0pt none ! important; background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent;" /></a>Norazihanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03125003680698893325noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8915541607762629771.post-66203170260290727272011-02-11T22:16:00.005+08:002011-02-12T17:57:13.683+08:00Cool Shades Pouch<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zvl6ZBj2Cws/TVZZBbJgN_I/AAAAAAAADcE/6yHGtB_oi10/s1600/12022011552.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zvl6ZBj2Cws/TVZZBbJgN_I/AAAAAAAADcE/6yHGtB_oi10/s400/12022011552.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572739469919926258" border="0" /></a><br />What a cool project this turned out to be. Originally a request by a beautiful young lady, who had dropped by Choqlat at Plaza Gambut, Kuantan, with her cute friend, I've searched the internet for good design and tutorial for tie pouch for sunglassess. Found this <a href="http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=91746.msg948658#msg948658">one</a> and before you know it I've made a couple of these.<br /><br />The batik fabrics used are remnants from past projects; used for both the outer piece as well as the inner peace. So the pouch is well lined and snugly tied at the open end. Here for the ties I use round elastic ties. Sunglasses fits well inside one of these.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54487/116/2EF5D0DAAD61365CEB7E00B9F5D449D1.png" style="border: 0pt none ! important; background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent;" /></a>Norazihanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03125003680698893325noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8915541607762629771.post-19238028008202477142011-02-07T13:01:00.001+08:002011-02-07T13:04:04.933+08:00Choqlat 03 Half Moon Bag<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TU99JhLfCXI/AAAAAAAADb4/w3yiTwfFVhA/s1600/IMG_8748.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 134px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TU99JhLfCXI/AAAAAAAADb4/w3yiTwfFVhA/s200/IMG_8748.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5570808866559428978" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TU99JCip-fI/AAAAAAAADbw/o_0gWnt7fzw/s1600/IMG_8747.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 134px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TU99JCip-fI/AAAAAAAADbw/o_0gWnt7fzw/s200/IMG_8747.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5570808858335115762" border="0" /></a><br />This bag is well formed as hard interfacing is used between the two bag fabric pieces. I used to give out these lovely <a href="http://sulamsayang.blogspot.com/2010/04/tissue-pockets.html">tissue packets</a> to family members during our family gathering. Photography of plain object I find is very challenging. On sewing craft I have done a few beautiful <a href="http://sulamsayang.blogspot.com/search/label/table%20cloth">table cloths </a>out of Batik Terengganu but to show it off herein this blog, the photography just doesn't do them justice. Under indoor lighting and not so good camera setting, the visibility of both my beautiful work and the beautiful batik artwork did not p<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TKPwd6U9IAI/AAAAAAAADJU/xb1sa8v6w2Q/s1600/IMG_8548.JPG"><img style="float: right; margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 134px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TKPwd6U9IAI/AAAAAAAADJU/xb1sa8v6w2Q/s200/IMG_8548.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522521964750381058" border="0" /></a>roject themselves.<br /><br />So, to bring out the most of this recently completed batik table cloth for my foreign customer I've decided to take the table cloth out of the dining room setting and out in the gardens for my photography shoot. Now, enjoy and feast your eyes on the strikingly red round table cloth amidst my Misai Kucing plant, Kembang Pagi flowers and on my drying line.<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TKPwe7-HlwI/AAAAAAAADJk/Beil2r6JYOE/s1600/IMG_8571.JPG"><img style="float: right; margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 134px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TKPwe7-HlwI/AAAAAAAADJk/Beil2r6JYOE/s200/IMG_8571.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522521982371337986" border="0" /></a><br />The piece I'm sharing today is similar to the first <a href="http://sulamsayang.blogspot.com/2010/05/round-batik-table-cloth-and-napkins.html">round table cloth</a> I did earlie<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TKPwefhrcQI/AAAAAAAADJc/9DXv7yrQSIs/s1600/IMG_8570.JPG"><img style="float: right; margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 172px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TKPwefhrcQI/AAAAAAAADJc/9DXv7yrQSIs/s200/IMG_8570.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522521974735859970" border="0" /></a>r. This piece is made out of four batik sarungs. The table cloth is cut out from the main body of the sarungs. While the napkins were cut out from the head of the sarungs. <a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TKPwfntNVZI/AAAAAAAADJ0/kE5r-xM-ops/s1600/IMG_8559.JPG"><img style="float: right; margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 134px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TKPwfntNVZI/AAAAAAAADJ0/kE5r-xM-ops/s200/IMG_8559.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522521994111571346" border="0" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TKPwffFic9I/AAAAAAAADJs/an13_4oFYns/s1600/IMG_8568.JPG"><img style="float: right; margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 134px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TKPwffFic9I/AAAAAAAADJs/an13_4oFYns/s200/IMG_8568.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522521991797699538" border="0" /></a>The pieces for the table cloth were laboriously put together like a four cut cake cutting. This way gives more accuracy to get the points together than my previous effort of working with eight pieces. The result is just truly lovely and breathtaking.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54487/116/2EF5D0DAAD61365CEB7E00B9F5D449D1.png" style="border: 0pt none ! important; background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent;" /></a>Norazihanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03125003680698893325noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8915541607762629771.post-27039566604799750422010-09-29T09:39:00.006+08:002010-09-29T15:45:27.193+08:00Chocolatie Cool Shoulder Bag<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TKKZtFr0bqI/AAAAAAAADIg/UWwfimnIHL4/s1600/IMG_8533.JPG"><img style="float: right; margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_CRXRJP6vHs8/TKKZtFr0bqI/AAAAAAAADIg/UWwfimnIHL4/s320/IMG_8533.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522145093008780962" border="0" /></a>Lawa. When tudung bawal bersulam tangan or just tudung bawal would no longer be worn. With the tudung segera over flooding the tudung market in Malaysia, or Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, the square voile scarf is less favoured by local Muslim ladies.<br /><br />Even if chiffon long scarf is still favoured among teenagers as per the wearing by Yuna, their elders are now favouring the earlier called tudung ekin. Well I'm happy that in the midst of all the bright colored Lycra instant scarf, my service is sought after.<br /><br />Here I'm starting with simple design using basic stitches for a suttle decorative for the instant scarf. A new twist to the tudung here the fabric used is velvet and it's only for the awning. The tudung body will still be Lycra.<br /><br />Happy to work with you Kak Imah and looking forward to your continuous need and success for your tudung business.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54487/116/2EF5D0DAAD61365CEB7E00B9F5D449D1.png" style="border: 0pt none ! important; background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent;" /></a>Norazihanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03125003680698893325noreply@blogger.com1
